Ahead of the South West Zonal Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osogbo Osun State on Monday, the most senior elected office holder in Ogun State, Rt. Hon. Adesegun Adekoya Abdel-Majid, will be leading a 114-man strong delegation to the Osun State Capital.
The Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Adekoya has assured all party members of a peaceful Congress, saying the best candidate will surely emerge and PDP will come out strong from the exercise.
Adekoya therefore called on delegates to conduct themselves peacefully, while calling on organisers especially those in charge of accreditation to discharge their responsibilities without fear and compromise.
“Our party remains the biggest political party in Nigeria and we have a tradition of peaceful conduct and organisation and we shall prove with this exercise that we are capable of taking democracy further with our peaceful conduct.
“I commend the efforts of the South West leader and Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his spirit of sportsmanship and uncompromising ability to rally members of the party in the region. I think the leadership of our great party have a lot to learn from the Oyo State Governor,” Adekoya stated.
He wish delegates from all other states and Ogun safe arrival and returns to their various destinations after the Congress.
