In a proactive move to enhance national security, prominent Nigerian federal lawmakers recently participated in a comprehensive program on Security Sector Governance at the DCAF: Geneva Centre For Security Sector Governance in Switzerland.
Led by distinguished figures such as His Excellency, The Senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy, and Former Senate President Ahmed Lawan, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Defence. The delegation aimed to deepen their understanding of governance principles within the security sector.
The session, attended by key figures such as Hon Jimi Benson, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Defence, and Hon Abdullahi Mamudu, Chairman of the House Committee on Army, provided a platform for engaging discussions on critical security issues.
