In a display of exceptional proactiveness, the Commissioner of Police for Delta State, CP Wale Abass, and his dedicated team have achieved significant success in combating crime.

On the night of 29th July 2023, a police patrol team from Ebrumede Police Station, Delta State engaged in stop and search duty, when they encountered a suspicious Lexuz Saloon Car (registration number withheld). The occupant of the vehicle, upon noticing the police, immediately fled, brandishing a double barrel gun. The brave police officers pursued the suspect, leading to a confrontation in which the gunman was neutralized.

The abandoned vehicle revealed a shocking discovery of a kidnapped victim, blindfolded and frightened. The victim narrated that he had been abducted along Jakpa Road, Warri, earlier that evening at around 9:00 PM. He explained that the kidnappers had used a tricycle to hit his car from behind, and when he confronted them, they threatened him with the double barrel gun and forced him into his own vehicle.
