Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has highlighted the significance of police officers’ wives obtaining medical skills to ensure their spouses’ health during a meeting with and to welcome POWA’s President, Mrs. Kayode Egbetokun.

Governor Abiodun stressed that providing these women with basic medical training could help shield their husbands from potential health hazards associated with their demanding roles. He urged POWA to assist members in addressing health issues like diabetes and hypertension through regular check-ups.

Governor Dapo Abiodun also affirmed the state government’s commitment to the Young Women in Agriculture Programme, an initiative that has already shown its positive effects on the lives of POWA particularly widows who are now responsible for their families. 

POWA President, Mrs. Egbetokun in her speech highlighted the essential role of women in agriculture and the program’s contribution to sustaining their well-being and generating economic prospects.

Governor Abiodun’s appeal for police officers’ wives to enhance their medical expertise for the sake of their spouses’ health, along with his endorsement of the Young Women in Agriculture Programme, underscores the state’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
