The Academic Staff Union of Universities,
ASUU, has extended its warning strike for another eight (8) weeks.
FASNEWS learnt that the union took the decision during its National Executive Council, (NEC) meeting held in Abuja, on Sunday evening.
An anonymous member of the union, who spoke to our correspondent said the two (2) months warning strike is to give the Federal Government the opportunity to meet up the union demands.
The union had on February 14, 2022 embarked on a one month warning strike over the Federal Government’s inability to meet the demands the two parties had agreed on.
