Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected cultists in a swift operation that uncovered an illegal firearm in the Alaba Rago area.

Acting on credible intelligence, the operatives stormed the area on July 11, 2025, and apprehended 34-year-old Rilwan Shittu and 35-year-old Babatunde Femi. The suspects were found in possession of a semiautomatic pistol.

Preliminary investigations revealed that both men are members of a notorious cult group. The Police confirmed that the duo is already providing valuable intelligence to aid in the arrest of other members of the group and to recover more dangerous weapons.
