A five (5) man Robbery gang terrorizing Iperu/Shagamu/Ode Remo area of Ogun State was on Saturday, 12th of March 2022 apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command.

A distress call to Iperu Divisional Police Officer, DPO Waheed Oni that some suspected criminals were robbing members of the public along Ogere road prompted the DPO to mobilise his men and the Anti-Robbery team from the Sagamu Area Command and went to the scene.Ogun
On sighting the policemen, the suspects,Moruf Abidogun, Usman Adeyemi, Fisayo Aliu, Afees Adesina and Dauda Lekan, who already snatched a Toyota Corolla car with registration number GGE 733 FL took to their heels but they were hotly chased by the Police team and were apprehended.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the gang has their base in Lagos State, but come to Ogun state to carryout their Criminal activities because one of them is resides in Iperu town.
Recovered from them are; one locally made pistol and a Toyota Corolla car with registration number GGE 733FL.
Ogun State Commissioner Of Police, Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for a discreet investigation so as to bring other fleeing members to book.

Meanwhile, eleven (11) suspects have so far been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of late Oba Adetola Olajide Ayinde, the Olu of Agodo town Ifo Local Government of Ogun State.

The arrested suspects are said to have confessed to their involvements in the crime, claiming the Traditional Ruler was a land grabber.
On the 28th January, 2022, a petition with the caption *RE:CASE OF CONSPIRACY, ARSON ATTEMPTED MURDER AND MURDER* was received from one Odetola Okuribido on behalf of the entire Okuribido Royal Family of Agodo town, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun state, that on Monday 24th January 2022, His Royal Highness Oba Odetola Olajide Ayinde, the Olu of Agodo town in Ifo LGA. Ogun State was murdered by one Gbeminyi Sotade aka okon and his cohorts.
The late Traditional Ruler was said to have gone to his village to clear the grave side of his late brother when a group of hoodlums numbering about fifty (50) led by one Gbeminiyi Sotade suddenly attacked him while three (3) of his relatives; Alfa Wahab, Deborah Onilere and Lydia Odetola were also assaulted and matcheted.
The hoodlums had pushed the Traditional Ruler into his Red Toyota Sienna SUV 2016 model with Registration number APP 55 GF while one Agbara drove the vehicle in the company of other hoodlums to a nearby forest where they poured petrol on him and set the vehicle ablaze.
In a statement signed by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, SP Hauwa Idris-Adamu and made available to FASNEWS, AIG Bode Adeyinka Adeleke advised and warned  the general public to desist from taking laws into their hands by involving in any form of criminality, as whoever is caught on the wrong side will face the full wrath of the law.
AIG Adeleke  also assured the citizens of Lagos and Ogun states that whosoever is involved in the murder of the monarch will be brought to book, no matter how highly placed the person or group of persons are.
Meanwhile, efforts are at top gear to arrest others at large.
