At the 13th Convocation of Veritas University, Abuja, Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, delivered an inspiring message that underscored the institution’s growth as a beacon of Catholic higher education.

Professor Soludo, who previously chaired a discussion on the university’s financial sustainability under the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) finance committee in 2014, lauded the institution’s remarkable transformation over the past decade.Soludo

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor commended the founders’ foresight, the staff’s dedication, the leadership’s perseverance, and the students’ achievements. He emphasized that Veritas University’s journey reflects the power of vision and unwavering commitment.

Sharing a light moment with Vice-Chancellor Rev. Fr. (Prof.) Hyacinth Ichoku, a former student of his, Soludo noted that traditional convocation speeches often feel repetitive. However, he challenged graduates to embrace a bold “new deal” for Nigeria—a vision of equity, justice, and inclusive development.

“The challenges of economic inequality, climate change, and evolving governance demand a shared commitment to Nigeria’s transformation,” Soludo stated. He urged graduates to rise above divisions, foster innovation, and champion resilience as they step into the nation-building roles the country desperately needs.Soludo

As fasnewsng.com reports, Soludo’s address was a rallying call for purposeful leadership and collective action. His vision resonated deeply, leaving graduates with a renewed sense of responsibility to drive Nigeria’s progress and embrace its untapped potential.
