The Delta State Police Command has recorded another major operational breakthrough with the arrest of two suspected armed robbers and the recovery of dangerous weapons during a targeted stop-and-search operation at the Second Niger Bridge axis.

The operation, carried out by operatives of the Department of Operations (DOPS) Buffalo Team, led to the interception of an unregistered blue Hijet Cargo mini bus travelling from Anambra State into Delta State on May 27, 2026.

According to the Command, the occupants of the vehicle attempted to obstruct the officers from conducting a proper search and reportedly threatened to record the operatives if the exercise continued. Despite the intimidation tactics, the officers remained calm, professional, and proceeded with a detailed search of the vehicle.Police
