Lagos state Police Command Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi  was among the newly promoted senior officers decorated by the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu on Wednesday, January 6, 2020 at Hajia Mariam M.D Abubakar, POWA Secretariat and Muilti-Purpose Hall, Oduduwa Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

While decorating Adejobi and other promoted officers alongside the newly promoted Commissioner of Police, CP Alli Mohammed, CP Odumosu charged the newly promoted senior officers to be more committed to their statutory duties and display high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties at all times.

CSP Olumiyiwa Adejobi is among forty-three (43) Superintendent of Police were promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police while two (2) Deputy Superintendent of Police were promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police at the Lagos state command.

“To whom much is given, much is expected, as the command and the Nigeria Police Force expect much from you with your new rank. I urge you to harness all legitimate resources, both human and material, within your reach to improve Policing in Lagos and Nigeria at large”, Odumosu emphasized.

Olumuyiwa Adejobi was born in Ile Ife, Osun State to the family of late Oba Moses Olayioye Adejobi and Olori Mary Olaitan Adejobi of Orile Owu, Ayedaade Local Government Area, Osun State.

He bagged his BSc in Archaeology and Geography (Combined Hons) in 2001 from the University of Ibadan and MA in Peace and Conflict Studies in 2004 in the same prestigious University of Ibadan before he was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on February 1, 2005.

Adejobi is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Institute of Chartered Administrators of Nigeria and many other professional bodies. He has worn many local and International awards, including the Best PPRO in Nigeria and in West Africa. He is a respected Public Relations Practitioner per excellence.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Odumosu express thanks to the Inspector General Of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu for his fatherly concern on the general welfare of police personnel across board, and the leadership of the Police Service Commission, for the consideration of the recommendations of the IGP on the promotions of personnel at various cadres.

Others present at the occasion are Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of administration and finance, DCP Oqua Efiom Etim, ACP Ola Agboola, RRS Commander, CSP Yinka Egbeyemi and State PCRC Chairman Apostle Kehinde Showemimo.
