A father, Mr. Akanji Oluwaseyi has been arrested by the Ogun state police for allegedly defiling his own thirteen (13) years – old daughter.
Oluwaseyi’s daughter (name withheld) was said to have reported her father’s evil deed at the Obantoko police divisional headquarters of the Ogun state police command, prompting the DPO, CSP Sunday Opebiyi to detail detectives to their house where Mr. Oluwaseyi was promptly arrest for defiling his own daughter.
The thirteen (13) year- old victim was said to have told police officers that on December 30, 2020 her father came to the shop, where she is a tailoring apprentice, and begged her mistress to permit her to come and fetch water for him at home, a wish her mistress granted by allowing the victim go assist her father to fetch water unaware of the man’s wicked intention.
According to the victim’s narration, she left the shop and went to fetch the water as requested by her father. But surprisingly, her father suddenly grabbed her and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
When the forty-five (45) years–old father was asked why he defiled his daughter, he initially denied but when he was confronted by the victim, he became dumb founded and later confessed, attributing defiling his daughter as the devil’s manipulation.
“Defiling my daughter was the devil’s handwork. I don’t know why I did that to my own daughter” Oluwaseyi said.
The victim was taken to Olukoya hospital for medical attention and confirmation of the allegation.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward A. Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the anti-human trafficking and child labor unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
