Officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other Nigerian law enforcement agencies have arrived in the United States for the 2024 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exhibition.

The event is being held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Centre, 415 Summer Street, Boston, from October 19th to 22nd, 2024.
The conference, officially declared open on Saturday, Octiber 18, at the Ballroom, Level 3, by IACP President Mr. John Letteney, brings together over 16,000 participants from across the world.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in statement made signed and made available to fasnewsng.com, said, the general assembly for the convention is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m. “The gathering offers a wide range of training programs covering key areas of policing, including forensic investigations, public safety, community-based policing, crisis response, and election security.” He stated further.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has consistently leveraged opportunities from such international conferences to enhance its capabilities. Previous participation in events hosted by organizations like INTERPOL has significantly improved the proficiency of Nigerian law enforcement in areas such as forensic science and public safety.NPF
Representing the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., DIG Abiodun Sylvester Alabi, fdc, addressed the Nigerian delegation, urging officers to be exemplary ambassadors of the Force. Accompanying him were top officers, including AIG Jonathan Towuru, AIG Yekini Ayoku, and CP Henry Uche of the NPF-NCCC. Former IGP Ogbonaya Onovo was also in attendance.
Notably, the NPF boasts the largest membership from Africa in the IACP, with more Nigerian officers actively participating in the association, which has over 34,000 members from 174 countries.NPF
