Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG Omololu S. Bishi who was promoted less than a month ago by the Police Service Commission has been reported dead.
Fanews reliably gathered that the former Benue State Commissioner of Police, AIG Omololu Bishi, died in Lagos yesterday, Monday, January 11, 2021 after a brief illness. He is scheduled for burial today, Tuesday at the Ebony Vault in Lagos.
Late Bishi was among the thirteen (13) AIGs appointed by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on December 18, 2020.
No formal announcement has been made by the Nigeria Police Force but Senior Police Officers who chose to remain anonymous confirmed his death and burial arrangement.
He was Commissioner of Police Benue before he was promoted to the rank of AIG last December 2020.
He was also one time a Divisional Police Officer, International Airport Lagos, Area Commander Mushin Lagos, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department Ibadan Oyo State, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration Ogun Command.
Until his demise, he was AIG Armament.
