Former Inspector General of Police, Mustafa Adebayo Balogun is dead.
FASnewsng gathered that he died at the Reddington Hospital in Lagos few hours ago.
Balogun was appointed as the 21st Inspector General of Police (IGP) in 2002 during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo but had to tender his letter of resignation when he had issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during Nuhu Ribadu’s admistration as EFCC boss.

It was learnt that he went underground after his court trial bothering on corruption and embezzlement in 2005. Nothing much was heard about him untill the news of his death broke.
The former IGP was born on August 25, 1947 in Ila Orangun, Osun State.
