The Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, Ph.D., paid a significant courtesy visit to the Ministry of Police Affairs on Thursday, with the primary objective of extending congratulations to the newly appointed Ministers and engaging in crucial discussions concerning the internal security situation of Nigeria.
The discussions revolved around pressing national security issues, the ongoing police reforms, and strategies aimed at bolstering collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Ministry of Police Affairs.
Highlighting the urgency of modernizing the NPF and promoting community-oriented policing programs, Honourable Minister Gaidam pledged unwavering support from the Ministry in facilitating key reforms and initiatives.
Both Ministers acknowledged the pivotal role played by the police in maintaining law and order, reaffirming their dedication to providing the necessary resources, infrastructure, and training needed for the Force to effectively fulfill its duties in safeguarding the lives and property of all Nigerians.
