In a decisive move to enhance the efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD., NPM, has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Commissioners of Police for Rivers State Command, Delta State Command, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This directive aims at optimizing the operational effectiveness of the force across key regions.

According to IGP Egbetokun,  under the new arrangement, CP Olatunji Disu has been redeployed from Rivers State Command to assume duties as the new Commissioner of Police for FCT, while CP Abaniwonda Olufemi has been reassigned from Delta State Command to take over in Rivers State. Similarly, CP Peter Opara, formerly with the FCT Command, has been posted to Delta State Command.IGP
The reshuffling extends beyond these commands, as the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Egbetokun, with the approval of the Police Service Commission, has deployed four additional Commissioners of Police to new postings in Abia, Lagos, Ebonyi, and Akwa Ibom State Commands. The newly appointed CPs include CP Danladi Nda (Abia State Command), CP Olanrewaju Ishola Olawale (Lagos State Command), CP Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya, fdc (Ebonyi State Command), and CP Festus Eribo (Akwa Ibom State Command).
A statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that these postings reflect IGP Egbetokun’s strategic mission to reposition the Police Force and ensure the maximum utilization of its human resources. The Inspector-General also urged the newly appointed Commissioners of Police to remain diligent in their duties, adopt innovative solutions to security challenges, and align with the ongoing police reforms designed to propel both the Force and the country forward.IGP
