Former Ogun State Governor and serving Senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has extended warm congratulations to Princess (Dr.) Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji following her victory in the House of Representatives bye-election for Ikenne/Remo North/Sagamu Federal Constituency.
In his congratulatory letter, Daniel described Ayoola Elegbeji‘s victory as “a well-deserved personal achievement and a strong signpost of our collective efforts to further unite our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
He emphasized that the outcome of the election reaffirms the confidence Nigerians continue to place in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Senator, who governed Ogun State between 2003 and 2011, praised Ayoola Elegbeji’s composure during the campaigns, noting that she “exhibited uncommon courage and comportment as a peace-loving leader, demonstrating that politics can thrive even in a less acrimonious environment.”
Daniel also assured the lawmaker-elect of his support as she joins the National Assembly midterm, while commending Governor Dapo Abiodun for what he described as a pivotal role in securing the APC’s win.
He urged residents of the Remo Federal Constituency to embrace unity after the election, stressing that the victory belongs to all and that “the task ahead requires a common front.”
The letter, signed off with Daniel’s highest regards and assurances of cooperation, sealed the congratulatory note on a tone of solidarity and partnership.
