The community of Abeokuta and beyond mourns the passing of an iconic figure, Chief (Mrs.) Khadijah Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), who passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the remarkable age of 89. Fondly known as “Cash Madam,” she was a trailblazer in business, a devoted mother, and a cornerstone of community development.

Chief Mrs. Edionseri’s journey was one of resilience, enterprise, and boundless generosity. Born into a modest family, she rose to become one of Abeokuta’s most celebrated businesswomen, revered for her sharp acumen and unwavering integrity. Cash Madam’s ventures spanned various industries, where she carved out a niche for herself as a leader who combined strategic thinking with an unparalleled human touch.
