The Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (AERMP), Nigeria’s foremost body for risk management practice, has appointed Dr. Babatunde Onadeko, FCIB, FERP, AM.CIoD, as Chairman of its Public Sector Committee.
Dr. Onadeko, Chief of Staff to Distinguished Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. In his acceptance speech, he pledged to drive the committee’s objectives with innovation and collaboration, aiming to deepen risk awareness and strengthen institutional frameworks across public enterprises.
The event, which also celebrated the induction of new members, featured an impressive lineup of dignitaries, including Mrs. S. Taiwo Ige, FCIB, FERP, President of AERMP; Prof. Deji Olanrewaju, FCIB, FERP, President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN); and Dr. Uju Ogubunka, FCIB, FERP, a past registrar of CIBN.
The conference theme, underpinned by enterprise resilience and governance, showcased thought-provoking presentations by Dr. Ayotunde Coker, CEO of Open Access Data Centres, and Mrs. Folasade Femi-Lawal, Country Manager for West Africa at Mastercard, who also assumed leadership of the “Women in Risk Management” initiative.
AERMP continues to reinforce its commitment to advancing risk management standards in Nigeria, leveraging collaborations with key local and international institutions.
