Delta State Police Command on Monday, May 10, 2021 around 10:30am, received information that a mob was attacking three (3) suspected kidnappers, who were caught while attempting to kidnap a victim at Oghara Junction, mobilized Oghara patrol team and the local vigilante team to the scene and rescued the suspects from the angry mob.
According to information made available to Fasnews by the Delta state police acting public relations officer, DSP Edafe Bright, one of the suspects, Onome Efetobore, a notorious criminal has been on the police wanted list for criminal offences, Collins (surname unknown) also a known notorious kidnapper and armed robber had escaped from Benin correctional facility during end SARS protest and one Glory Reuben who is also a notorious criminal.
“By the time we got to the scene, the mob already gave the 3 suspects the beaten of their lives. We had to rush them to the hospital but unfortunately for the suspected criminals, they were confirmed dead at General Hospital Oghara, Delta state.
“Exhibits recovered include a locally made pistol and three (3) live cartridges,” DSP Bright stated.
The divisional police officer Sapele Division CSP Harrison Nwabuisi on Saturday, May 8, 2021 received intel that one 27-yearz-old man by the name Jeffrey Emekume was kidnapped along Eku Abraka road, Eku with his skyblue Lexus Jeep with Reg. No. RSH 716 AX and that his abductors already made a U-turn headed to Sapele road.
The DPO Sapele swiftly mobilized and led a Crack Team into the bush in other to rescue the kidnapped victim and apprehend the kidnapper(s).
The hoodlum(s) who could not withstand the relentless effort of the police abandoned the victim and fled. The kidnapped victim was rescued and the Lexus Jeep recovered. Effort is ongoing to track and arrest the fleeing suspects.
In the same vein,, the divisional police officer ‘A’ division Warri, CSP T.Y. Mahmud, on Sunday, May 9, 2021 around 6:20pm, after an intelligence report, mobilized his Rapid Response Team and raided a black spot at Hausa Quarters, where 20-years-old Aliyu Adamu was arrested with two hundred and thirty seven (237) wraps of weed suspected to Indian hemp. The suspect allegedly confessed to be a major dealer in Indian Hemp and is presently assisting the police in their investigations.
Meanwhile, Delta state Commissioner Of Police, CP Ari Ali Mohammed has ordered that all fleeing suspects be apprehended and brought to book and investigation be thoroughly conducted and completed for justice to prevail.
