Delta state police command has again reiterated it’s promise to rid the state of criminals and all forms of criminality by apprehending a 23-years-old man, Godday Kinsley, an armed robbery suspect, on Thursday, April 22, 2021.

The suspect’s arrest was made possible due to the distress call received by DPO ‘A’ Division Warri, CSP T.Y. Mahmud  from a town service bus driver that, while he was on his routine transport business with passengers on board along Okere road Warri, a tricycle with registration number  SGD 430 VC  blocked his  bus, one of the occupant  brought out a cut to size gun and dispossessed him and  his passengers of their phones and other valuables.

 Upon the distress call, operatives from ‘A’ division raised to the scene and  in the process,  the armed robbers took to their heels with the stolen items, the driver of the tricycle one Kinsley arrested,  
interestingly, the  same suspect Kingsley  had been fingered not too long ago in connection  with a foiled armed robbery attack where police men from ‘A’ division Warri  recovered a tricycle and two empty cartridges but the suspect had already played a fast and smart move after the foiled robbery by rushing to the station to report  that armed men snatched his tricycle from him.Suspects
The tricycle was released to him after proving ownership of the said Tricycle, but  he ran out of luck this time, as he was caught in the act.
 Investigation and interrogation with a view to arrest the fleeing members of the gang is ongoing according to the Command’s acting maker maker, DSP Bright Edafe.
