Ameerah Safiyanu who claimed to have been kidnapped along with 17 others by some policemen at gun point on 14th June, 2022, has been found.
The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a statement made available to FASNEWSNG said the police are suspicious about her claim.
“We have some suspicions about her claims as much as we debunk the kidnap of 17 others. We have some findings to make in order to get a clearer picture of the whole scenario and take proper decision as and at when due. We will keep the general public abreast of our findings as soon as possible. Thank you,” Adejobi stated.
The 17-year-old lady had twitted on her handle, @ameerah_sufyan that herself and 16 other victims were abducted at gunpoint from different parts of Abuja by men in police uniforms in a van.
“Please whoever has my WhatsApp number, I sent a broadcast message of my location. We were abducted at gun point by (people) with police uniforms and a van from our houses from different parts of Abuja. We’re 17 including 3 pregnant women and two little kids. They didn’t see my phone.” Ameerah twitted.
She later gave details of her captors, adding that they were being transported to the western part of the country.
“They’re four yoruba and two fulani men. They divided us up an hour ago. We’re seven here. The other vehicle they said they will reach Ilorin and ours will reach Ibadan or Ikeja as they said,” she informed further.
