Ondo state governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu has announced the sack of the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Kolawole Olawoye.
Governor Akeredolu in a statement signed and made available by his Chief Press Secretary, Seun Ajiboye on Monday, also announced Mr. Charles Titiloye as the replacement for the sacked cabinet member.
Mr. Charles Titiloye, in the statement, was described as a human rights lawyer.
“Titiloye is a human right activist and a renowned social critic. He was former Secretary of the Nigerian Bar of Association (NBA), Akure Branch.
A devout Christian, Charles Titiloye is a Knight of the Catholic Church of the order of Saint Mulumba. His name will be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.”
“Mr. Governor thanks the erstwhile Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Kolawole Olaoye for services rendered to the state and wishes him success in his future endeavors.” The statement read.
However, information gathered from our reporter from an anonymous source within the government circle revealed that Olawoye was sacked because he advised governor akeredolu to obey the court verdict on the reinstatement of suspended Honorable members in the State House of Assembly.
Meanwhile, efforts made by Fasnews to reach out to Mr. Kolawole Olawoye proved abortive as at press time.
