Two (2) armed robbery suspects were on Saturday, May 22, 2021 arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for robbing one Ajose Bilikisu, a point of sales (POS)  operator at gun point.

The duo were arrested following a distress call received by policemen attached to Idanyin Divisional Headquarters, that four (4) armed men were attacking a POS operator at Ketu Adiowe community, and that the  have dispossessed the woman of her bag containing the sum of sixty thousand naira (#60000), two android phones and a bunch of key.
Upon the distress call, DPO Idanyin Division CSP Olayinka Kuye quickly led his patrol team to the area, where 25-years-old Balogun Haruna, a.k.a Fitila and Imole Noah were arrested with the assistant of members of the community while the other two (2) suspects escaped with their arms.
During preliminary interrogation, Balogun Haruna who claimed to be a member of Eye confraternity, confessed to the commission of the crime, while the POS operator also identified him and his partner as those who robbed her. An expended cartridge was also recovered from them.

The Commissioner Of Police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for a discreet investigation.

He also directed that the escaped members of the gang be hunted for and brought to book, as soon as possible.
