Two armed robbery suspects, were on Sunday, May 2 2021 arrested by men of Ogun state police command at Olambe area of Akute, in Ifo local government area of Ogun state.

The two (2) suspects, Lukman Olanrewaju and Shola Alabi were arrested following a distress call received by Ajuwon divisional headquarters DPO, SP Andrew Akinseye, around 5:00pm, that a three (3) man armed robbery gang were operating at Olambe area, and that they have shot one commercial motorcyclist who was later identified as Anas Usman and snatched his motorcycle.

Upon the distress call, the DPO led his men to the scene, and with the collaboration of the so-safe corps, two (2) amongst the robbers were caught in the act and arrested.

Recovered from them are, one cut to size locally made gun, two (2) live cartridges and the snatched motorcycle.
The victim was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment, while effort is on top gear to apprehend the remaining member of the gang.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for a discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.
